Round Table's Admirals Park display is Saturday 7 November: gates 5pm, fireworks 7.30pm, £12 early bird. Marsh Farm and Battlesbridge are the same night.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, and every public display in the Chelmsford district has now picked the same night for it: Saturday 7 November.

The one most people mean, Chelmsford Round Table’s display at Admirals Park, is confirmed for its 51st year, gates 5pm, fireworks 7.30pm. Its box office lists advance tickets at £12 adult and £6 child on the early bird rate. Marsh Farm at South Woodham Ferrers and Frasers at Battlesbridge are the same evening. Chelmsford City Racecourse has still published nothing.

Updated 30 September: Chelmsford Round Table has confirmed Saturday 7 November at Admirals Park and loaded tickets; Frasers has confirmed its Battlesbridge display for the same night; Marsh Farm’s general release tickets go on sale on 1 October at £10.

Chelmsford Round Table, Admirals Park: Saturday 7 November

The Round Table’s own fireworks page now reads “Back for its 51st Year” and says “This year’s display will be held on Saturday 7th November 2026”. Its Ticket Tailor box office lists “Chelmsford Fireworks 2026”, Admirals Park, CM1 2PD, 5pm to 10.30pm.

  • Gates 5pm, fireworks 7.30pm “following safety checks”. The box office adds that launch time “may vary depending on weather”.
  • There is a family funfair, food and drink stands, a bar and a main stage with entertainment all night.
  • No parking at the park, and the organisers ask you not to park in neighbouring streets. Rainsford Road will be closed at certain times.
  • No sparklers are allowed inside the park.
  • No refunds: it is a charity event and the box office says so in terms.

The club’s own page still carries last year’s banner, “This event is SOLD OUT. No tickets on the gate”, above a line saying 2026 tickets are “on sale soon”. The box office is the live one. The early bird rate matches what the club charged in advance for the whole of 2025 (£12 and £6); the on-the-day adult price is up from £13 last year.

The warning in that old banner still applies: the 2025 display sold out before the night, and the gate option vanished entirely. If you want to go, buy in advance.

The club describes the Admirals Park display as the only fireworks display operating in the city of Chelmsford, and says all the money raised goes back to local causes through grants and donations.

Marsh Farm, Saturday 7 November

Marsh Farm at South Woodham Ferrers says its Family Fireworks “return for one night only on Saturday 7th November”. In 2025 it ran two nights, 1 and 2 November, so capacity is halved.

  • It is a low bang display, “designed with families in mind”. The farm says “some bangs may still occur”.
  • The ticket is a whole day: entry from 2pm, with the animals, adventure play and soft play. Fireworks start at approximately 6.30pm, finish around 7.15pm, and the park closes at 8pm.
  • Parking is free, across both of the farm’s car parks.
  • Rides are extra on a standard ticket, as an Unlimited Rides upgrade. There are 100 VIP places with front-row viewing and unlimited rides.

Prices, per person: the £8 early bird has sold out, and the £9 second release ends at midnight on 30 September. General release is £10, or £36 for a family of four, on sale from 1 October, and on the door it is £12. Toddlers from six months to under two are £4.

Frasers, Battlesbridge, Saturday 7 November

Frasers at 5 Maltings Road, Battlesbridge, is inside Chelmsford district (Rettendon parish, though the postcode is an SS11 one). Its Battlesbridge Annual Firework Spectacular is confirmed for Saturday 7 November, and it is the only one of the three with a bonfire.

  • Admission from 5.30pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7.30pm, finishing at 9pm. Guy Fawkes making from 5pm, for those taking part.
  • £15 adult, £10 child, under twos free, bought through Frasers’ own shop, which also sells a £2.50 Guy for the bonfire.
  • Every guest gets a free sparkler on entry.

Chelmsford City Racecourse: still nothing for 2026

The racecourse’s fireworks page is still headed “Sunday 2nd November 2025”, and its non-raceday events list for 2026 has no fireworks night on it: only Dance Through The Decades on Saturday 17 October and the Illuminate Christmas parties. With five weeks to go, and every other display in the district now on sale, we would not plan around it.

If it does return, the 2025 shape was: CM3 1QP, gates 4pm, a 20-minute display set to music at 7.30pm, advance tickets only, £17.50 adult and £10 child.

What the council asks

Chelmsford City Council does not run a display of its own. It runs a campaign called Rocket O’Clock, asking people setting off fireworks at home to do it at the same time each evening, so that pets, wildlife and noise-sensitive neighbours get one predictable period rather than several nights of surprises. The council has repeated the ask in past years, and its standing advice is to go to an organised display instead.

Getting there and home

Admirals Park is the one with a travel problem, and it is a deliberate one: the organisers close Rainsford Road and provide no parking, on the basis that most of the crowd can walk in from the station, the bus station or the city centre car parks. Marsh Farm and Battlesbridge are both car journeys, and with all three displays on the same Saturday the A130 and A132 will be busier than a normal weekend evening. Check our roadworks and travel page before you set off: an Essex order now allows the A130 between Gingerbreadhall Bridge and the Rettendon Turnpike to be resurfaced, though no dates are set.

  • Sell-outs: which displays have stopped selling, and when the Round Table’s early bird rate ends.
